Most owners rely on the Roomba i7 for daily pet hair cleanup on hard floors thanks to its smart mapping and efficient navigation. The trade-off is that while it saves time on everyday dust and fur, it can develop navigation quirks and battery issues that require hands-on intervention.
Loved by buyers
- •Strong mapping lets you target just the kitchen after meals or the playroom before bedtime without wasting battery on empty rooms.
- •It moves in neat rows and goes straight to the spot you choose, so it covers more area per run than random-bounce robots.
- •It pulls a surprising amount of pet hair from hard floors and low-pile rugs, making a visible difference in daily fur buildup.
Buyer concerns
- •The vacuum often dies before making it back to the dock, leaving you to carry it to the charger yourself.
- •After months of use, the navigation can get confused, skipping rooms it used to clean or spinning in place without finishing.
- •The bin is small for heavy shedders; you'll need to empty it after every room or two to avoid clogs.
