About Vacuwiz
We're here to make vacuum shopping less painful.
Vacuwiz is an independent review site. We compare vacuums using owner feedback, published specs, and price history, then write the trade-offs in plain language. The goal is a pick that fits a real home, not a manufacturer brief.
Why we built this
Buying a vacuum used to be simple. Now there are cordless, robotic, upright, canister, wet-dry, self-emptying, HEPA-filtered, laser-detecting models at every price point between $39 and $1,500 — and a lot of coverage is written to rank, not to help.
We started Vacuwiz because we wanted a site that would say "this $250 cordless is a better fit than that $600 one for pet hair on carpet" without hedging the recommendation into meaninglessness.
How we evaluate
We do not run a product lab, and we do not pretend we personally tested every model in a house. Our How We Review page explains the method: we summarize what owners report after living with a machine, check it against published specifications, and watch how the price has moved.
We spend the most time on models in the $150–$600 range, because that is where most buying decisions happen.
Who writes here
Vacuwiz is written by an editorial team. We are not a celebrity tester and we do not invent personal biographies to sound more authoritative. If a claim cannot be traced to owner feedback or a published spec, it does not belong in a review.
Editorial independence
- Brands cannot pay to appear in roundups or receive favorable placement. No sponsored content.
- We do not accept free products in exchange for coverage.
- The site is supported by Google ads. Advertising does not change which products we recommend.
- When we update a review because a spec, firmware note, or owner-feedback pattern changed, we say so with a dated note.
Our promise
If the evidence does not support a recommendation, we will not force one. If we get something wrong, we correct it publicly. If you disagree with a pick, we want to hear from you — especially if you have data.
