The Braava M6 is the most divisive product in iRobot's lineup: 56% of owners love the quiet overnight wet-mop paired with a Roomba, but 17% one-star reviews tell a pattern of tire rot, mapping failures, and units that spin in circles after firmware updates. It mops well when it works; reliability is the gamble.
Loved by buyers
- •Whisper-quiet operation runs after midnight on LVP without waking the house, leaving floors streak-free
- •Imprint mapping with keep-out zones blocks pet bowls and entry rugs once the initial mapping finally completes
- •Precision jet spray loosens dried coffee and kitchen grease that a dry Swiffer would just push around
Buyer concerns
- •Rubber drive tires degrade within 8 months, causing docking failures and requiring a phone call to support since tires are not sold online
- •Braava cannot use a Roomba's existing map; it needs its own multi-hour mapping runs that frequently abort or get stuck
- •Firmware updates have made navigation worse on some units, causing aimless spinning the moment it leaves the dock
