The C3 Calima delivers a quiet, deeply filtered clean on hard floors, but its carpet performance often frustrates owners. The main trade-off: you swap effective carpet cleaning for a lighter, quieter machine that excels on smooth surfaces.
Loved by buyers
- •Whisper-quiet operation, a standout in a category known for noise.
- •Outstanding filtration seals in dust and allergens, a must for allergy sufferers.
- •Lightweight canister and smooth casters make it easy to pull across rooms.
Buyer concerns
- •Turbo brush leaves behind pet hair and struggles on anything beyond low-pile carpet.
- •High upfront price plus recurring cost of bags and filters.
- •Cord retracts too fast, and wand storage feels insecure.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add a motorized brush head to improve carpet cleaning?+
No, the C3 Calima only works with the included turbo brush and is not compatible with Miele electric power heads.
How well does it pick up pet hair?+
On hard floors, it grabs hair and debris without issue. On carpet, the turbo brush often leaves short hairs behind, so heavy shedders will want a powered brush model.
Is it easy to carry up and down stairs?+
Yes, at about 16 pounds with hose and attachments, it is light enough that owners with joint pain and limited fitness had no trouble doing entire staircases.
How loud is this vacuum?+
Multiple owners describe it as remarkably quiet, some even saying housecleaning no longer feels like a noisy chore.
