Most owners agree this vacuum pulls embedded pet hair and litter from both carpet and hard floors with strong suction and a tangle-free brush. The trade-off is a heavier, non-self-propelled design that can feel like a workout and occasional sensor hiccups when switching floor types.
Loved by buyers
- •Powerful suction pulls up deeply embedded pet hair and litter in one pass, even on high-pile rugs.
- •Lift-off pod detaches quickly to clean stairs, upholstery, and tight spots without straining your back.
- •Tangle-free brush roll actually prevents hair wrap, cutting down on time spent cutting hair off the roller.
Buyer concerns
- •Heavy and not self-propelled, making it tiring to push on carpet, especially for long sessions.
- •Edge suction is disappointing: it misses debris along baseboards and kitchen toe kicks.
- •SurfaceSense can be too sensitive, shutting off the brush roll during slow transitions and forcing a reset.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it weigh?+
It weighs 16 pounds with attachments on board. That's heavier than many comparable uprights and can feel like a workout on stairs or large carpeted areas.
How loud is it?+
It's moderate, around low 70s decibels. That's quieter than a hair dryer on low, so most pets won't bolt, but it's not whisper-quiet.
Does it have a HEPA filter and is it good for allergies?+
Yes, it uses a sealed HEPA system that traps 99.97% of dust and dander. The exhaust filter needs replacing roughly every 5 months with heavy use to maintain suction and filtration.
How long is the power cord?+
The cord is long enough to cover a large room without re-plugging, but it's not retractable, so you'll have to manually wrap it after each use.
